Volcancito – Culture & Adventure (“Volcancito”, “we”, “us”, “our”) offers guided outdoor and cultural experiences on Ometepe Island, Nicaragua.

 

2. Scope of Services

Volcancito provides guided tours, hikes, cultural experiences, and nature-based activities, including but not limited to volcano hikes, walking trails, and cultural encounters.

All descriptions, durations, routes, and difficulty levels published on our website are provided in good faith. Actual conditions may vary due to weather, environmental factors, safety considerations, or group dynamics.

 

3. Booking and Payment

To confirm a booking, we kindly ask for a 50% advance payment. The remaining balance is payable on the day of the tour, unless otherwise agreed.

A booking is considered confirmed only once the advance payment has been received. The advance payment allows us to reserve guides and necessary resources, organize logistics in advance, and ensure smooth tour operations. Thank you for your understanding.

Prices are stated in USD unless otherwise indicated.

 

4. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand that travel plans may change and aim to be as fair and transparent as possible.

Cancellations by guests:
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for a refund of the 50% advance payment or, if preferred, free rescheduling. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour start time are non-refundable, as preparations and guide arrangements have already been completed.

No-shows:
If a guest does not show up at the agreed meeting point and time without prior notice, no refund will be issued.

Cancellations by Volcancito:
If a tour must be cancelled by Volcancito due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, guests may choose between:

• a full refund of any payments made, or
• rescheduling to another date.

In exceptional cases, we may offer a partial credit at our discretion.

 

5. Participant Responsibilities

By participating in a tour, guests confirm that they are physically and mentally fit to take part in the selected activity.

Participants agree to:

• follow the instructions of guides at all times
• behave responsibly and respectfully towards nature, local communities, and fellow guests
• wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring required equipment

Participation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.

 

6. Risks and Liability

Outdoor and adventure activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven terrain, weather conditions, volcanic activity, wildlife encounters, and physical exertion.

While we always prioritize safety and responsible guiding, participation in our activities is at the guest’s own risk. Volcancito cannot be held liable for injury, illness, accidents, loss, or damage to personal belongings, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct on our part.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of outdoor activities.

 

7. Weather Conditions & Force Majeure

Tours may be affected by weather conditions such as rain, wind, heat, or volcanic activity.

Volcancito is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, governmental restrictions, strikes, or other force majeure events.

 

8. Insurance

Guests are strongly advised to have adequate travel, health, and accident insurance that covers outdoor and adventure activities.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is the property of Volcancito unless otherwise stated and may not be used, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.

 

10. Privacy

Personal data collected for booking, communication, or operational purposes is handled with care and confidentiality and is used solely to provide our services or to comply with legal obligations.

By booking or participating in one of our experiences, you acknowledge and accept our Privacy Policy.

 

11. Govering Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Nicaragua. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nicaragua.
